IntroductionInfestation is a unique feature on Pandora. You can actively change the appearance and strength of a creature by infesting it with looted and crafted materials in order to obtain CreaturesYou can infest any enemy creature on Pandora. All of them can atleast drop an "Infested Fleshy Mound". This can be used to infest other creatures, which can also drop While you can infest all creatures, not all of them will drop Infested Artifacts or Scrolls. One bottle is priced at 4200 gold. A Bottle Filled with an Infested Parasite (short: Infested Bottle) You create the Infested Bottle with the recipe, see below. An Infested Injector This is the final item you will create with the recipe, see below. Iron Ingots You need two Iron Ingots to create the Injector, see below. The ToolsYou need the following tools to create the Infested Injector: Mortar and Pestle You can buy Mortar and Pestle from any Alchemist NPC on Pandora or craft one by yourself. Tool Kit (Tinker Tools) You can buy a Tool Kit from any Tinker NPC on Pandora or craft one by yourself. Crafting an Infested InjectorTo finally craft an Infested Injector do the following. Create the Infested Argon Bottle Use Mortar and Pestle to combine an Argon Bottle and the Infested Fleshy Mound. Create the Infested Injector: Use the Tool Kit (and the Iron Ingots in your backpack) to combine an Argon Bottle with the Infested Argon Bottle and you create the Infested Injector. You are ready to infest a Boss! The TimerEvery infested item of the recipe has a timer. If it runs out, the item is gone. The Timers are: Infested Fleshy Mound: 6 Minutes (Note: It is possible that these timers are subject to changes soon.) The Process of InfestationIn general, you need to stand very close to the creature in order to infest it. You can honor the creature before or after you infested it, both works. Note: Every infested item has a running timer. If it's at zero the item is gone. Abilities Certain Bosses and Champions will use their special abilities much more frequently. Medusa for example will turn you to stone and poison you Spreading In a spawn or larger group of monsters the Infestation will spread from one monster to another and so forth. This is how you can infest large groups Loot and ArtifactsLesser creatures and Bosses, Champions, Peerless have a good chance to drop the Infested Fleshy Mound to create more Infested Injectors. Bosses and Peerless Bosses have a good chance of dropping an Infested Artifact. Champions have a chance of dropping Infested 125's Power Scrolls. The Harrower can drop a +35 Stat Scroll. Every Boss can also drop his regular Artifacts, the Champions and Harrower their regular Scrolls. Infesting Champions and The HarrowerInfesting ChampionsIn order to infest a Champion you need the Infested Injector. There is no need to infest the Champ Spawn itself (only if you're looking for the Infested Fleshy Mound). Infesting Treasures of Tokuno CreaturesIn order to infest ToT monsters you need the Infested Fleshy Mound (you can also use an Infested Injector). Enter the Dungeon, use an Infested Fleshy Mound on a monster, let the Infestation then spread. You can also infest a monster, let it aggro on you and The infested monsters will be slightly stronger and more aggressive when they are infested. Infesting Paragon MonstersIn order to infest Paragon Monsters you need the Infested Fleshy Mound (you can also use an Infested Injector). The Paragon will undergo the described effects and can drop the Infested Fleshy Mound and one of the Infested Paragon Artifacts. The ArtifactsNecklace of Tranquility (a necklace) Arrow Breaker (a shield) Arrow Breaker (a Gargoyle shield) The Stats of these Artifacts are always identical, but their values are random.
