Introduction

Basic Infos

Spellweaving is a Magical Skill that contains several Spells. Spellweaving is based on the idea of multiple Spellweavers (Player
Characters using Spellweaving) to work and cast their spells together in a group to achieve better effects.

However there is no need for group casting if a Character has an Arcane Focus Crystal in his backpack which can be created via a
Spellweaving Spell and will last for a certain duration (see below).

Spellweaving Book and Scrolls

You must have a Spellweaving Book filled with all the Spells in order to be able to fully use Spellweaving. You cannot buy or create
this book:
You have to obtain it via the Quest Chain "Patience" or "Discipline". As a reward for one of these Quest Chains (you only have to do one)
you will receive your first Spellweaving Scrolls, the ability to use Spellweaving and a Spellweaving Book.

The Quest Chain "Patience" is described here in the Quest Guide: QuestGuide
Look for "The Spellweaving Quest (Quest Chain Patience)". There you will also find the other two Quests ("Friend of the Fey" and
"Friendish Fiends") you will have to complete to get two other Spellweaving Scrolls for your book.

The other Scrolls you don't get after finishing the Quest Chain and the other two Quests you can obtain by killing monsters, for
example in the Sanctuary or Prism of Light. You can also get them from other Players, just ask around!

Mana Cost

Spellweaving Spells use Mana, like the other Magical Skills, when you cast the Spells. Lower Mana Cost (LMC) will reduce these costs.

Activation

You activate a Spellweaving Spell by clicking the Spell Icon, creating a UO Steam Hotkey and pressing it or using a UO Steam Macro.
Keep in mind that activating Spells will cancel all other previously activated Spells or Special Moves.

Reagents

There are no Reagents needed.

The Arcane Circle

Arcane Circle is one of the Spells you will receive after completing the Quest Chain to get the Spellweaving Book. It is used to enhance
other Spellweaving Spells as if you were in a group of Casters. This means in order to get this "boost" you have to cast this spell together
with other Spellweavers. You will receive all bonuses instantly for a specific duration.

Casting the Spell

In order to cast "Arcane Circle" you have to stand in a specific area with an Arcane Circle, Pentagram or Abattoir. Arcane Circles are
craftable Items that can be placed in a house.
Stand in the Circle with atleast one other Player that has atleast GM Spellweaving or - preferably - even has 120 or 125 Spellweaving:
Then one participant has to Cast "Arcane Circle". The more players and the higher the Skills, the more effective the effects will be.
You can recast the Spell anytime with atleast one more participant if the duration is almost up or you want to get a "fresh" crystal.

Effects

Arcane Focus Crystal

An Arcane Focus Crystal will appear in the backpack of each participant. It enables you to cast Spellweaving Spells more effective, gives you
other bonuses and will last for a specific amount of time. It lasts longer the more participants were in the circle.

Strength Bonus

You receive a Strength Bonus of 10 until the Arcane Focus Crystal expires.

Effectiveness of Spellweaving Spells

As mentioned, the Arcane Focus Crystal will make all your Spellweaving Spells more effective:
Can increase Duration, Damage, Radius (for AoE Spells) and other effects of the Spells.

Time Boosts

You can raise the duration of the effects and the life span of your Arcane Focus Crystal by using Time Boosts. These are items that look like a clock:
They can drop as loot from several monsters and bosses.

The following list will describe the Spells in a brief manner for a quick check. If you want more details see here (external link): http://www.uoguide.com/Spellweaving
