Animal Lore
Note: Animal Lore affects your ability to control a tamed creature, and also improves the amount of damage you can heal via the Veterinary skill. It also effects the amount of stabled pets you can have. The sum of the character's skills in Animal Taming, Veterinary, and Animal Lore determines the amount of additional stable slots according the following table (Jewelry does count):
- Below 160.0: 2 pets may be stabled.
- 160.1 - 199.9: 3 pets may be stabled.
- 200.0 - 239.9: 4 pets may be stabled.
- 240.0 and up: 5 pets may be stabled.
Additionally, "bonus" stabling slots are added for each of the three taming skills that reach 100.0, 110.0, and 120.0. These "bonus slots" are cumulative. The maximum amount of stable slots any one character can have is fourteen.
Animal Lore can be raised by using the Animal Taming and Veterinary skills, as well as actively using the skill. Using veterinary on a tamed pet and getting a passive gain is the preferred method of training. Once you get one passive gain, lock Veterinary and keep vetting your pet for endless gains.
